JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Financial Analyst supports the full P&L for the Generous Brands beverage portfolio. This role serves as a key business partner to Marketing, Sales, R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain, providing financial insights that drive performance and strategic decision-making.
 

This position plays a critical role in monthly forecasting and reporting, annual budgeting, and long-term financial planning, helping translate financial data into actionable business recommendations.

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Lead the monthly close and actualization process, including detailed P&L variance analysis, insights, and issue identification
  • Own and support the monthly forecasting process, projecting and explaining financial performance on a rolling 18-month basis
  • Support the development of the annual operating plan and long-range strategic plans
  • Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, assess risks, and uncover growth or margin opportunities
  • Prepare clear, concise reporting packages and presentations for leadership
  • Develop financial models to support scenario planning, pricing analysis, and investment decisions

Business Partnership

  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, R&D, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to provide financial guidance on new initiatives, product launches, and promotional plans
  • Support evaluation and modeling of savings initiatives, including labor efficiencies, strategic sourcing, and operational improvements
  • Quantify ROI and financial impact of productivity and growth initiatives
  • Provide proactive insights to influence decision-making and drive accountability to targets

Process & Systems Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and financial processes
  • Enhance and maintain financial models and planning tools
  • Support integration with the company’s business planning calendar
  • Contribute to system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience building and maintaining complex financial models
  • Solid understanding of financial and management accounting principles

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or related field

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting a CPG or manufacturing business
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with commercial and operations teams
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial planning tools
  • MBA or CPA a plus
