Arxada is looking for Senior Chemist (Quality) to contribute to the daily activities as a member of a team who effectively tests raw materials, in-process batches and finished batches while maintaining Quality documentation in the appropriate computer information systems. The Senior Chemist acts as leader in the QC lab.  This position will oversee California and Arkansas locations.

The salary for this role is between 65,000-90,000 based on the experience of the selected candidate.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure proactive continuous improvement of the manufacturing and quality processes. Collect/collate and report the defined KPIs that relate to QC.
  • Develops or updates procedures relevant to quality, operations, or as assigned

    Supports and enforces SQF initiative through meeting scheme requirements that pertain to quality control.

  • Leads plant rework and RFT initiatives.
  • Develop analytical methods, validate, and improve methods and instruments.
  • Testing of samples and writing protocols and reports for qualification materials.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues in the laboratory to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in maintaining the PM and calibration schedules for laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Execute special project testing as required.
  • Provide support to laboratory technicians for testing in-process, and final product.
  • Train new laboratory technicians, and develop existing staff, and serve as a mentor and SME in the laboratory environment.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality incidents.
  • Assists with NSF, OMRI, Halal and Kosher requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors in chemistry/Organic Chemistry
  • 5 years of Industrial manufacturing lab experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/Data Management Systems. 
  • Analytical techniques such as AA, titration, etc. 
  • Chemical manufacturing OR Food manufacturing experience (highly preferred)
