The individual in this position will be involved in coordinating the study and participating in many aspects of the research process, including recruitment of Spanish and English-speaking participants, scheduling and coordinating study visits, running participant sessions, oversight of home assessment devices, participant payments, and providing administrative support to the study. Data collection for this study involves laboratory-based Research Assistant–participant interactions, questionnaires and assessments. Experience gained in this position will be particularly useful for those hoping to continue working in a clinical research environment, including pursuing a medical degree

Daily Operations

  • Recruitment and screening of observational clinical study participants.
  • Ensures completion of study questionnaires and procedures, and sending follow-up reminders.
  • Maintain project documents ensuring compliance with IRB regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and troubleshoot areas of concern or deviation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
  • Experience recruiting and scheduling participants for research visits required.
  • Expected to have a strong work ethic, high integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to function well independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to express ideas clearly and concisely orally and in writing, including the ability to analyze and extract data from conversations and documents for research projects.
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours to accommodate the pregnant women we work with.
  • Ability to operate PC software and lab technology.

Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in the biomedical science-related field.
