Multifamily Investment Analyst - Philadelphia, PA

We are seeking a Multifamily Investment Analyst to join our team and gain hands-on exposure to real estate underwriting, market analysis, due diligence, and portfolio management.

Opportunity: The Multifamily Investment Analyst will support the Investments team in analyzing existing owned portfolio of properties along with new investment opportunities. The day-to-day responsibilities include conducting financial and market research, and assisting with key components of due diligence, underwriting process and portfolio operating performance analyses. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced real estate investment environment within an institutional multifamily REIT. Travel will be required to conduct market research and property tours throughout the year.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Analyze and evaluate rent rolls and operating statements of properties
• Assist with financial modeling and cash flow projections, including sensitivity analyses
• Conduct market research including demographic, economic and multifamily fundamentals
• Provide support for Portfolio Management performance, including benchmarking, variance analysis, budget-actual review and asset strategy review
• Assisting in preparing investment memos/presentations, acquisition due diligence

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree (Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Business)
• 0-3 years of relevant real estate, financial or analytical experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Strong analytical skills; both quantitative and qualitative
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to gather and interpret market data using public and subscription sources (CoStar, Yardi, Greenstreet, Census, etc.)
• Focused on accuracy and detail oriented
