Our client is seeking an ambitious and accomplished Head of Chemistry to join an established independent school in Oxfordshire from April. This is a full-time, permanent leadership role, ideal for an outstanding Chemistry practitioner with a strong track record of academic success.
The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of Chemistry across KS3, KS4 & KS5, ensuring high standards of teaching and excellent examination outcomes. You will oversee curriculum planning, mentor colleagues, monitor progress and attainment, and contribute to whole-school academic strategy as a key middle leader.
The Science faculty is exceptionally well resourced, with modern laboratories, strong technician support, and small class sizes that enable high-quality, academically rigorous teaching. Experience and Qualifications
• Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry with experience teaching to KS5
• Proven track record of strong student outcomes
• Previous leadership experience or readiness to step into a Head of Department role
