The Financial Analyst, FP&A position will be based on-site in San Jose. The role will help support Lumentum’s US Manufacturing facilities and manufacturing support groups and the Analyst will act as a business partner to Operations leaders. The role will encompass a broad range of activities, including creating operating budgets and tracking performance against those budgets, CAPEX investment appraisals, standard cost setting, as well as having responsibility for specific accounting activities at month end and quarter end.  The role will require a high level of attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, insightful analyses, and the ability to analyze data from a variety of different financial systems.

The role will report into the Controller for the US Manufacturing activities, and dotted line to the Global Front End Manufacturing finance leader.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Financial Business Partner supporting the US Manufacturing operations.
  • Become an active participant in understanding operations and the impact operational activities have financially. 
  • Own specific budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Analyze results, make inquires, anticipate questions, and become a trusted financial partner.
  • Manage month-end processes including results reporting and variance analysis.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for internal management review.
  • Lead and drive monthly financial review meetings with business partners, including executive management.
  • Assist with other financial activities and special projects as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, either within public accounting or FP&A experience within the technology industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree. An Accounting designation (CPA) would be beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of Financial and Management reporting frameworks of large, listed companies – Good understanding of US GAAP.
  • Excellent analytical, organization and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Ability to prepare meaningful management reports, interpret them and communicate them for senior management and drive actions to meet leadership goals and objectives.
  • Passionate and excited to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, team-focused environment.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities and manage deadlines.
  • Focused on high quality output and possess strong attention to detail.
  • Exhibit strong computer skills with advanced level Excel skills.
  • Oracle, Hyperion, Tableau experience beneficial but not a pre-requisite.

Pay Range:

P30-USA-1 :$69,860.00 - $99,800.00
