Perform due diligence and credit analysis to assess the creditworthiness of counterparties and make recommendations as to appropriate risk appetite and grading.
Ongoing credit risk portfolio management with responsibility for own portfolio of clients, including monitoring of credit ratings, sector trends and client performance.
Regular communication with senior team members regarding portfolio updates, ability to give recommendations and express opinion while being open to feedback.
Working as a team to develop recommendations for new transaction approvals across a variety of products including secured and unsecured loans (general corporate purposes or event driven), derivatives, trade and treasury products.
Preparation of credit files for both regular portfolio management and new transaction approvals including, but not limited to, financial trends, financial projections, risks and mitigants and grading recommendations.
Understands J.P. Morgan’s Risk management policies and related interactions with various stakeholders, including Regulators and Auditors.
Qualifications & Experience
Sound credit skills and judgment, with a proactive and flexible approach to coordinating credit processes as well as identifying key risks and appropriate mitigants.
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Be able to establish credibility and trust with internal business and risk stakeholders.
Ability to be a self-starter while being able to work effectively in a team environment.
Prior knowledge of transaction structures, documentation and banking products is beneficial but not essential.
Experience in Sponsor deal financings or expertise in relevant Industrial sectors is beneficial but not essential.
