Job Role: Staff Security Engineer

Description:
As the SOC Reporting Lead, you will be responsible for driving consistency, clarity, and strategic alignment across all Security Operations Centre reporting. You will own the end-to-end reporting lifecycle—from format design and data validation to timely publication—ensuring outputs are tailored for senior executive stakeholders. Your work will elevate security awareness across the organisation, foster cross-functional collaboration, and promote a culture of transparency and engagement through impactful, data-driven storytelling.
Required:
- Strong background in reporting, data visualisation, and executive communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical content for non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under tight deadlines
- Evidential experience of driving/teaching data quality and consistency across a functional operation or similar.
- Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft 365 or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and upskill team members, particularly in areas such as data quality, formal writing standards, and policy documentation best practices
- Proven experience in security operations, cyber defence, or a related field.
Desired:
- Experience working with senior leadership or board-level reporting
- Experience in a global or matrixed organisation
- Proficiency in tools such as SIEM platforms and subsequent query languages
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Knowledge of automation and scripting for reporting (e.g., VBA, Python, PowerShell)
