Senior Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities: Support laboratory research related to the detection and identification chemical and biological materials. Assist with the setup, operation, maintenance, and cleanup of lab equipment and instrumentation for experiments. Perform wet chemistry and biology procedures.

• Operate a variety of laboratory instruments and collect data
• Ensure laboratory experiments are performed safely
• Maintain and inventory lab supplies and reagents
• Contribute to data analysis, presentations, technical reports and research publications.
• Support the development of training aids and participate in field testing

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay: $79k - $86k
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• 401K with up to 4% employer matching contribution
• 3 weeks (120 hrs/year) Paid Time Off (PTO), 11 Federal holidays, and Sick Leave

Education:

Associate’s degree in science or technically related discipline.

Job Requirements

• U.S. Citizen eligible for a security clearance
• 7 years’ experience in chemical and/or biological laboratory R&D
• Expertise performing wet chemistry techniques and operation and maintenance of lab instrumentation such as gas/liquid chromatography, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly, multitask, and complete work within schedule
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience performing both chemical and biological lab work
• DoD Secret clearance
