Job Description:
Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Division Controller and be responsible for performing financial analysis and preparing business case analysis to understand how business decisions contribute to financial outcomes. This role will partner cross-functionally to support financial strategy, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making across the division. This position requires cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to review current and proposed rebate agreements to understand and project the financial impact to the business.
- Analyze and validate customer rebate calculations and assess financial impact on margin and profitability, and communicate changes from forecast, prior year, and prior month/quarter.
- Analyze current and historical sales order trends, by segment and customer, to improve current month sales projections and future sales forecasts.
- Own and maintain the division's monthly forecast, providing analysis of variances and insights into financial performance, and support the financial close process through financial analysis and an assessment of actual vs forecast results.
- Actively participate in the Long Range Plan and Annual Plan process, supporting the Division Controller through cross-functional data collection, financial analysis, and preparation of the segmented P&L.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, monitor, and proactively improve key performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to streamline internal reporting, improve data accuracy, and increase financial awareness, utilizing the division's ERP and PowerBI reporting tools.
- Support the Marketing team in identifying and administering price increases.
- Partner with the R&D and Operations teams to ensure compliance reporting is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
- Promote and adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality-related policies and procedures.
- Focus on continuous improvement and task/project prioritization by applying the ITW 80/20 principle.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, and 6+ years of related experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills required, experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office products preferred.
- Familiarity with PowerBI reporting preferred.
- CPA/CMA certification preferred.

Travel:
Limited travel (<10%) to other division locations may be required at various times throughout the year.
