Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a summer-only Process Chemistry Intern (full-time, 40 hours per week).  This position will be in Rolla, MO.

Summary:
 
Conducts laboratory analyses, experiments, and utilizes processes to support Product Development projects. This is a summer-only internship.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Performs bench and pilot scale synthesis.
  • Conducts routine experiments and process data for routine work under supervision. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety and housekeeping standards and practiced in daily activities. 
  • Learns and keeps familiar with lab procedures.
  • Keeps a well-documented laboratory notebook and have it co-signed within two weeks.
  • Responsible for communicating with supervisor and team members.
  • Records and communicates any unexpected differences in experimental and analytical results.
  • Provides in-depth data analysis summary, using DOE/statistics when applicable.
  • Presents data during group and technical meetings.
Credentials and Education:
  • At least 2nd year college level Chemistry or Chemical Engineer bachelor’s candidate.
  • Has completed organic chemistry I.
  • Industry experience from prior internships or work experience, lab experience, preferred.
