About the role:
The Principal Civil Engineer - Urban will lead the delivery of civil engineering designs across urban development and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on general civil works, including earthworks, grading, roadworks, stormwater, sewerage, and wet/dry utilities. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality design outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage urban civil engineering and infrastructure design packages.
• Deliver designs covering, Earthworks and site grading, Roads and highways design, Stormwater drainage and hydrology, and Sewerage networks.
• Wet and dry utilities infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and design review across the team.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Support planning, resource allocation, and quality assurance across workstreams.

Technical Competencies:

• Civil 3D - strong proficiency
• InfoWorks ICM
• HEC-RAS
• HEC-HMS
• InfoDrainage
• TUFLOW

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 12–15+ years of relevant experience in urban civil and infrastructure engineering.
• Strong background in general civil works: earthworks, grading, utilities, drainage, and roadworks.
• Experience working with leading engineering consultancies is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
• UAE / Middle East experience preferred.
