As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platforms - Network  Services, you utilize strong knowledge of network infrastructure, software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.

Job responsibilities
 
  • Identify and help address network-related risks, including those involving firewalls, proxies, routers, switches, load balancers, and other network devices.
  • Manage and monitor the risk-related issues, ensuring tickets are updated, tracked, and resolved promptly.
  • Execute risk management tasks, such as updating action plans, maintaining risk documentation, and supporting remediation activities.
  • Assist with audit requests by gathering and organizing required documentation from various sources.
  • Configure and support core networking technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing OSPF/BGP, switching, firewalls, load balancing, forward and reverse proxy).
  • Execute change management, ITSM, and CMDB processes for network changes.
  • Leverage scripts and APIs to accelerate remediation, policy checks, and evidence collection.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and KRIs/KPIs to track exposure and SLA adherence.
  • Ensure complete telemetry coverage (syslog, NetFlow/sFlow, cloud flow logs) into SIEM and close coverage gaps.
  • Support incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with Cyber, Technology, and Operations to minimize operational, cyber, data, and resilience risks.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Experience managing or supporting risk-based tickets, or similar workflow.
  • Familiarity with basic network concepts and risks related to firewalls, switches, load balancers, and other network devices.
  • Experience in building KRIs, dashboards, and executive reporting using Excel and PowerPoint; leverage data tools such as SQL and Tableau/Power BI.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and execution skills.
  • Adapt to fast‑paced, highly regulated environments.
  • Pursue continuous learning in risk management and technology.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Obtain entry‑level industry certifications (e.g., ISACA IT Risk Fundamental).
  • Automate network and risk workflows using Python or Ansible, leveraging YAML/JSON, REST APIs, and Git.
  • Experience in executing enterprise and operational risk frameworks; coordinate audits and regulatory responses, and use solutions such as Archer to track findings to sustainable closure.
