We are seeking a skilled Engineer, IT Security to support cybersecurity initiatives and safeguard enterprise systems, networks, and applications. This role will work closely with the Head of IT Services / CIO to strengthen security operations, monitor infrastructure threats, and ensure compliance with organisational security frameworks and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

• Implement and monitor IT infrastructure and system security controls to protect networks, servers, and enterprise applications
• Ensure IT security practices comply with organisational policies, security management standards, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor day-to-day IT security incidents, infrastructure security health checks, and operational activities
• Identify IT risks, threats, and vulnerabilities across the organisations technology environment
• Analyse and report security breaches or attempted breaches across networks, servers, and applications
• Investigate incidents, perform risk assessments, and recommend remediation actions to minimise security risks
• Maintain incident documentation, perform post-incident reviews, and prepare detailed security reports
• Establish and maintain IT security policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
• Conduct periodic reviews of information security controls and recommend improvements
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to support IT security and compliance audits
• Drive continuous improvement across security operations through KPIs and operational metrics
• Provide security advisory during system design and implementation of new technologies
• Manage vulnerability and penetration testing activities, including reporting and remediation planning
• Prepare periodic cybersecurity reports and provide updates to management
• Participate in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery simulations to ensure security readiness

What You Bring

Must-have:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related field
• 5–10 years of experience in IT Security Technologies, IT General Controls, or IT Security Governance
• Experience working with security technologies such as NAC, firewalls (L2/L3), IDS/IPS, proxy, WAF, VPN, VLAN, routing and switching
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR), vulnerability management tools, and content filtering solutions
• Knowledge of encryption technologies and networking protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, SSH, LDAP, and IPSEC
• Understanding of security frameworks and governance standards such as ISO27001, NIST, and regulatory guidelines
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration skills
• Ability to communicate technical security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or ISMS certification
• ITIL v4 Foundation or experience in Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management
