Your work environment at EXP

We are looking for an Intermediate Asphalt Laboratory Technician for our Ottawa, ON office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Carrying out Marshall and Superpave tests within our Asphalt Laboratory
  • Ensuring laboratory equipment is maintained in good condition and calibration
  • Interacting with Materials and Geotechnical Engineers routinely
  • Operating computerized, mechanical, and digital testing equipment

What your experience looks like

  • Minimum 5 years experience in an Asphalt testing Laboratory
  • Possess a current CCIL Certification for HMA Marshall and Superpave is required
  • Possess a current CCIL Certification for Aggregates
  • Experience with Marshall and Superpave Mix Designs is an asset
  • Strong focus on Health and Safety
  • Ability to work overtime in peak periods
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

The salary range for this role is between $65K to $85K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
