Great Plains Analyst- Financial Analyst

Meyer Distributing is looking for a Great Plains Analyst to join our new Indianapolis, IN team - we are hiring immediately! Meyer Distributing is a leader in automotive specialty products marketing and warehouse distribution.

Education/Certification(s):

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or similar role ERP systems in a financial or accounting role

Requirements for Microsoft Great Plains Analyst:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Proficiency in SQL or other reporting tools to create custom reports and queries
• Strong acknowledge of financial modules in Great Plains, including General ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory Management
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Great Plains system
• Knowledge of financial controls, audits, and compliance requirements
• Prefer experience with Power Bl, Excel (advanced), or other data visualization and reporting tools

Starting pay range depending on experience

$90,000 to $120,000

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm

Great Plains Analyst duties include but are not limited to:

• Develop, implement, and optimize financial processes and reports within Great Plains to meet organizational requirements.
• Perform financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting
• Create system solutions within great Plains to meet business needs for a variety of teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues within Great Plains
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure system compliance and assist with audits, as needed
• Perform data analysis and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial systems and reports
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
• Ensure that all financial and accounting processes in great plains comply with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards
• Train end- users and provide ongoing support for the Great Plains system
