American Construction Metals (ACM) is a rapidly growing manufacturing strategic business unit of ABC Supply and is currently seeking a Financial Analyst II. ACM was founded in 2002 with the goal of being the industry leader in metal building products.
This role will report to the Director of Finance and be involved with the daily, monthly and yearly accounting processes for a multi-plant manufacturing division in the US. In addition to core accounting responsibilities, the ideal candidate will work closely with plant management teams to mine key data and provide reporting and analysis that helps drive key business decisions across the operation.
Specific duties may include:
- Managing preparation of financial statements and analysis
- Working with management to develop business strategies to drive growth and profitability
- Measuring and managing quantitative and qualitative inputs
- Analyzing financials and manufacturing measurements to make recommendations for improvement (i.e: cost, bill of materials, P&L statements, share of wallet, quality, productivity, service)
- Constructing financial, budgeting and quarterly reports to present to executive management
Specific qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field is required
- A minimum of three years’ of relevant work experience, with an emphasis in manufacturing
- CPA or CMA designation preferred
- Experience with JD Edwards, Insight Software and/or SAP Business Objects and crystal reports is strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate accounting and analytical concepts/strategies to all associate levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Work Environment:
- 100% manufacturing setting
- Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
- Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery
