What we offer
$34.24/hr to $42.80/hr
Compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. Final pay may vary depending on factors such as prior experience, expertise, and specific requirements of the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and will discuss the final pay rate with candidates should an offer be made.

Who you are – Commercial Credit Analyst
You are a dynamic, detail oriented, intuitive person with the ability to develop relationships, build rapport and become a trusted team member. What you'll do
- Assist loan officers in gathering data from borrower, internal and external sources; and contact borrower for additional information and clarification of data when necessary.
- Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, projection models, and all other relevant financial data, credit reports, collateral and various ratios that pertain to current economic and industry trends.
- Utilize the company's financial analysis spreading software to generate an informative and comprehensive credit memo for loan officers’ presentation to the appropriate approving body, as stipulated in Loan Policy, for decision making purposes
- Prepare analysis on moderate to complex commercial credit requests. Spread and make interpretative analysis of financial statements and prepares memorandum for use in loan decisioning. Make risk rating recommendations.
- Inform loan officers when up-to-date financial statements are needed for commercial accounts, and contacts borrower(s) to request updated information.
- Assist loan officers in the review and renewal of credit facilities and provides back-up support when requested.
- Prepare analysis and write-ups for amendments, consents, and waivers to existing credit documentation
- Monitor the financial performance of the portfolio companies to include on-going covenants renewals and annual reviews
- Ensure risk rating accuracy and compliance of credit policy
- Identify and recommend workflow process alternatives that can lead to improved efficiency and service levels.
- Mitigate identified risks and makes credit recommendations in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and compliance with the company's philosophy and principles outlined in Loan Policy and other supporting policies and procedures.
- Participate in preparation of assigned audits and compliance reviews, such as the Credit Union’s external loan review.
- Working knowledge of lending processes and supporting policies.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and processes, and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules and regulations; adheres to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities that are specific to the position.
- Ensure Financial Analysis is consistent and upholds company and industry guidelines.
- Assist with the recording of minutes of committees as needed.
- Responsible for monitoring property tax sales for borrowers with past due property taxes.
- Perform other tasks or functions as required, requested, necessary or prudent from time to time.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
- Strong desire to work in a purpose-driven organization
- At least 5 years’ previous commercial underwriting and/or commercial lending experience is preferred. Work related experience should consist of a financial analyzing or lending background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business/Mathematics is preferred. 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combinations of education and experience.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (including Word and Excel)
- Proficient skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; host computer system; and word processing, spreadsheet and core processing system.
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematical skills.
- Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative abilities.
- Superior internal and external customer service skills.
- Capable of understanding complex instructions and procedures. Furthermore, can standardize operating procedures.
- Thorough understanding of underwriting policies and procedures, as well as guidelines and regulatory updates.
- Advanced experience, knowledge and training in financial statement and tax return analysis; typically resulting from a combination of education in accounting, financial and/or credit analysis or related areas.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
- Effective organizational and time management skills. Ability to coordinate workflow and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
- Knowledge of C&I, construction, real estate, underwriting, documentation and processing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
