The Chemistry Program at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track, Assistant Professional Professor of Chemistry to begin Fall 2025. The candidate would be expected to teach undergraduate courses (Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry). In addition, the faculty hire would be expected to coordinate undergraduate chemistry labs, supervise the teaching assistants, and oversee laboratory curriculum reform efforts. The successful candidate would ideally have significant experience and/or a demonstrated strong interest in improving chemistry undergraduate (Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry), and graduate curricula (Advanced Organic Chemistry)

The Chemistry Program is part of the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences (PENS). It offers both undergraduate and graduate (M.S.) degrees in chemistry. PENS is also home to programs in Atmospheric Science (B.S.), Coastal and Marine System Science (M.S., Ph.D.), Environmental Science (B.S., M.S.), Geology (B.S.), and Physics (B.S.).
Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate chemistry courses.
Experience in curriculum design and management of undergraduate laboratory courses.
Experience in training and management of teaching assistants.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse academic community.
